orcOrange Rock Corps

The ORANGE Rockcorps Collective launched nationwide in summer 2010 with the aim of celebrating volunteering in local communities. The Collective is a great way to share experiences of volunteering, and practically supports those who wish to volunteer by giving information about opportunities with local charities and organisations.

Charities can promote their projects through the  Orange Rockcorps website, and it will be possible to track volunteers’ experiences and project outcomes.

Volunteers can get involved with Rockcorps  if:

  • you are aged 16 or over
  • you wish to volunteer on a project advertised on Orange Rockcorps or have completed at least 4 hours of volunteering in the past 6 months

To register, go to: www,orangerockcorps.co.uk

  • Click on 'Register now', fill in the registration form and submit.

Once you have done this, you'll be able to sign in to view projects available and share your story.

To share your story:

When signed in, click on the menu item labelled ‘The Collective’

Select 'Share your story'

Once you have got to this stage, you will be asked to upload a photo taken during one of your volunteering sessions, answer a number of questions about your voluntary role and give an e-mail or phone number of the person running the event or project you were involved in. Once you have completed and submitted this form, and the story is verified, you'll receive a gig voucher straight away!

For further information contact Andy Fraser, The Collective Co-ordinator for the North East –
