The cage is a portable metal enclosure, designed to allow young people to play 2 on 2 touch football. The 'Cage' can be erected in various locations where there is restricted or no youth facilities available. In March of this year, in partnership with 'Wearside Youth 4 Christ, The A690 introduced the 'Cage' to the area and over a one week period it attracted over 200 young people. As this was a huge success the A690 applied for and were successful in raising funds from various trust and charities,to commission the production of their own 'Cage' and to develop and deliver a full programme of cage activities for the young people from across the areas.
