The Farringdon Jubilee Centre

The Jubilee Centre Offers adult learning within the centre and ay other community venues in the surrounding area.

The majority of courses run for 10 weeks and begin w/c 8th September - however there are some exceptions so please contact the centre for more information. Come along to the Jubilee Centre to enrol and reserve your place.

PLEASE NOTE: All courses incur a charge.

Introduction to Sugar Craft (Mon 1.00pm - 3.00pm)

Learn how to decorate cakes for all those special family occasions

Internet Made Easy (Tue 10.00am - 12.00noon)(Wed 6.00pm - 8.00pm)

Learn to surf the net, create an email account and lots more.....

Pergamano for Beginners (Tue 10.00am - 12.00noon)

A fantastic craft using parchment paper to decorate cards etc

Family History on the Net (Tue 12.30pm - 2.30pm)

Find your long lost relatives on the internet and receive lots of advice and guidance on where is the best place to find information

Introduction to Forensic Art (Wed 6.30pm - 8.30pm)

A look into the criminal world and discover how forensic science unveils hidden truths

Introduction to Ceramic Design (Thur 1.00pm - 3.00pm)

A relaxing craft using clay to make lots of different items to show off to your friends and family

Introduction to Card Craft (Thur 10.00am - 12.00noon)

Learn how to make some beautiful cards for friends and family

Also available at the Jubilee Centre......A computer drop-in facility

If you cannot commit to a course timetable you can access an on-line training course in your own time. The centre staff will set you up online and be on hand to help throughout your time at the centre. The online courses can also be accessed at home, if you feel you can go it alone. Just call in and see Margy if you would like take part.

Activities running all year round

Eggsclusive Craft Club (Fri 10.00am - 12.00noon)

A newly formed craft club for everyone who has an interest in making Faberge Eggs and having fun meeting new people

Jubilee Watercolours Club (Wed 1.00pm - 3.00pm)

Come along and meet some other budding artists and create some great masterpieces

Jubilee Babes Toddler Group (Wed & Fri 9.30am - 11.30am)

A chance for your children and you to get out of the house and the children let their hair down. £2.00 per session which includes 1 adult and 1 child (additional child £1.00)

Kids Club (Thur 4.00pm - 5.00pm)

A chance for older children 6 - 11 to come along and have an hour with their friends

Pilates/Yoga (Thur 6.00pm - 7.00pm)

Come along and tone with Joan. £2.00 per session

Introduction to Aromatheraphy and Massage (Wed 1.00pm - 3.00pm)

A relaxing course teaching you how aromatherapy and massage can benefit your health and improve your wellbeing

Introduction to Card Craft (Fri 1.30pm - 3.30pm)

(Doxford Park Library (near Morrisons)

Learn how to make some lovely cards for family and friends

Introduction to the Principles of Painting (Fri 10.00am - 12.00noon)

(Sunderland City Library, Education Room)

Computers for Beginners (Wed 1.00pm - 3.00pm)

(Plains Farm & Humbledon Community Initiative, Tudor Grove. Plains Farm School Entrance)

An exciting look into the fascinating world of computers, a chance to try and catch up with your children and grandchildren

Introduction to Teaching Adults (Fri 1.00pm - 3.00pm

A look into the world of teaching adults with lesson planning and classroom dynamics


 

The Jubilee Centre is open 9.00am - 5.00pm Mon - Thur and 9.00am - 4.00pm Fri
