Employment Counsellor (2 posts)

Vibrant and confident individuals, possessing excellent communication skills, are required to join the Employment Initiatives Team. The Employment Counsellors will provide in- depth information, advice and guidance to unemployed adults from static community bases, whilst being responsible for developing new outreach provision within the locality. Having a minimum of two years experience offering advice and guidance to unemployed adults, preferably in a community setting. The ideal candidate will hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ3 in Information, Advice and Guidance.
Community Link Worker

An excellent communicator, with proven organisational skills, you will be the main link between the community and the range of services provided by the Job Linkage network across the City of Sunderland. With a background in community work, you will be responsible for engaging with people from all walks of life and encouraging them to progress their lives, through a range of planned awareness raising events and activities. The successful candidate will increase participation from those members of the community who are most disengaged, whilst developing their skills and confidence levels.
Trainee Employment Counsellor (2 posts)
£13,521- £16,521
As a Trainee Employment Counsellor, you will work alongside an experienced Counsellor to understand the principles of providing in-depth Information, Advice and Guidance to a range of clients with differing needs. You will be responsible for a small caseload of clients who require on-going help and support, to ensure they are job ready. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to make clients feel at ease, possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and should hold or be willing to work towards NVQ level 2 in Information, Advice and Guidance. Previous experience in a Customer Service role is essential.

Playwork Learning and Development Assessor
1 x Part-time (18 Hours per Week, flexible) £16-19k pa pro rata
ETEC is looking for a flexible, imaginative Playwork Learning and Development Assessor to support its expanding Playwork learning provision.
The assessor will support, mentor and assess candidates undertaking Playwork qualifications throughout the north east – in particular those working towards NVQ qualifications.
The successful applicants will use a variety of assessment methods to assess evidence against national standards as well as contribute to ETEC’s internal and external quality improvement programme.
Applicants must hold or be working towards either the A1 or TDLB D32/33 assessor qualifications. They must also hold an NVQ Level 3 or above in Playwork and be able to work flexibly.
