Addressing alcohol misuse on a local level

Funding was secured from the NHS Safe, Sensible Social fund to promote the event. A leaflet was produced and delivered to over 13,000 households within our area of benefit. In addition to promoting the event, a positive message around alcohol misuse and support available locally was delivered to over 22,000 residents.

The Sunderland Community Network (SCN) is changing – the way it is organised has changed and the staff will have new responsibilities. We will no longer try to be all things to all people. In future, staff will be supporting all delegates to the identified areas of Sunderland Partnership to ensure the Voluntary and Community Sector in the city can make a positive contribution through the SCN. They will be working with each Area Forum to draw delegates from their membership to represent the SCN on the new Area Committee in each area.
