Plains Farm & Humbledon Community Intiative Brothers in Arms Coffee Morning Friday 11th February 2011 10:00am - 12:00pm Raffle Prizes - Home Made Cakes and Biscuits - Coffee Name that Soldier! Brothers in Arms are a group of Sunderland Parents raising funds to have a lasting memorial wall built in Sunderland. The aim is to name all the UK conflicts since WW2 - present and to not forget those that have fallen in war or in training.

PIE is offering apprenticeships for ages between 16 – 65 year olds who do not have a degree or equivalent qualification, are not in full-time education and are employed at least 16 hours a week. They can offer apprenticeships in Business Administrator, ITQ and Customer Service. Apprenticeships are Government funded through the Skills Funding Agency, meaning that there is no cost to you as an employer if your staff fit certain criteria. Apprenticeships are normally made up of three elements: Key Skills, Technical Certificate(s) and a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ), each of which are separately certificated. FREE MINI OLYMPICS FAMILY FUN DAY EVENT To celebrate the re-opening of the Grangetown Green Space for community use, the East VCS Network, Active Sunderland and Ryhope Community Association have arranged a Mini Olympics themed family fun day to be held 11.00am - 2.00pm on Friday 25th February on the Grangetown Recreation Field (next to Grangetown Primary School). Families are encouraged to come along and have a go at the numerous FREE activities on offer, including - Judo, Fencing, Cheerleading, Volleyball, Athletics, Tag Rugby and more!!
